V-ring
Axial shaft sealing, no tools needed
A V-ring is a rubber gasket, consisting of a single lip, that is mounted by tension on a shaft where it provides axial sealing.
Thanks to its specific characteristics, the V-ring can absorb significant shaft misalignment, oval shapes and run-out. It needs no tools to fit and deforms easily, so it can be slipped over flanges and other obstacles.
V-Ring shaft seal: choose the type (VA, VS, VL) according to the shaft diameter, then the NBR or FPM material according to the temperature.

Profiles and variants
- Type VAStandard version for universal applications. Its dimensional range covers shaft diameters from 9.5 mm to 2,020 mm.
- Type VSSame design as type VA, but the body of the seal is more robust. Its dimensional range covers shaft diameters from 9.5 mm to 210 mm.
- Type VLReduced-profile type for small housings. Its dimensional range covers shaft diameters from 135 mm to 410 mm.
- VA large diametersDesigned for large shaft diameters, from 450 mm to 2,010 mm.

Applications
- Ejector seal: any liquid or solid particle is expelled from the sealing area by the kinematic action of the seal
- Bearing protector: mounted on the outer bearing shell, it seals it against dust and dirt
- Labyrinth seal: thanks to its reduced section, type VL suits the labyrinths of bearing seats and rolling bearings
- Sealing ring: to be fitted on the oil reservoir side, with a support provided on the opposite side of the lip
- Secondary seal: prevents abrasive particles entering the assembly of conventional sealing rings and stuffing boxes
